WP All Import provides two options to import hierarchical or nested taxonomies, also known as \u201cparent\u201d and \u201cchild\u201d taxonomies. You import these taxonomies using the option Posts have hierarchical (parent\/child) Categories (i.e., Sports > Golf > Clubs > Putters)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example A<\/strong>: An element in my file contains the entire hierarchy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you have a file where the taxonomy structure is specified in a single column or element, use An element in my file contains the entire hierarchy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if you have a column in your file with the value \u201cSki Resorts > Colorado > Aspen > Aspen Highlands\u201d, Ski Resorts is the parent, Colorado is a child of Ski Resorts, Aspen is a child of Colorado, and Aspen Highlands is a child of Aspen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example B<\/strong>: Manually design the hierarchy with drag & drop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you have a file with many different columns or elements containing your taxonomies, choose the Manually design the hierarchy with drag & drop<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drag the four-pointed arrows to the left or right to make a category a parent or child, or drag them up and down to re-order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
