WP All Import can import XML & CSV files that are protected by HTTP Authentication. This guide explains how to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set up New Import Process with the Correct URL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to All Import \u203a New Import<\/strong> and choose the Download a File \u203a From URL<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, enter the URL to your file:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

http:\/\/username:password@link-to-file<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the example below, you\u2019ll find the three parts in the link format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

http:\/\/louis:znxah&jfja_@some-site.com\/soflyy\/feed.xml<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Username:<\/strong> louis
Password:<\/strong> znxah&jfja_
Link To File:<\/strong> some-site.com\/soflyy\/feed.xml<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To find out if your password-protected file is using HTTP authentication, just enter the URL to it with the username and password specified in the above format into your browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the file begins to show or download, it is using HTTP Authentication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
